We offer two different options for creating your custom ICC printer profile. The first utilizes the X-Rite i1 Profiler software with the X-Rite iSis XL spectrophotometer. We are three variations for patch quantity for this combination of hardware and software. The RGB 6000 patch target requires either (6) 8.5″x11″ pages or (3) 11″x17″ pages to be printed. This is our most accurate set of targets for creating your custom printer ICC profile. Yes, it requires more paper, but aren’t you trying to achieve the greatest accuracy in your prints? We also offer a 3,000 & 2,400 patch option for this combination of hardware and software. The iSis XL allows us to achieve a much faster turnaround time on the ICC profiles and is good for paper & canvas substrates. The second set of hardware and software combination is bets for rigid materials such as; metal, wood, glass that is under 1/4″ thick. We use the Gretag Spectrolino and & X-Rite Profiler software to create these profile. The RGB large target requires (2) 8.5″ X 11″ prints to be completed by the customer on their printer, it has 1728 color patches. The RGB large targets provides a more accurate printer ICC profile than the RGB small targets which utilize only (1) 8.5″ x 11″ and 729 patches. There are 1728 patches used in this RGB large profiling service you are purchasing. A Gretag Spectrolino/Spectroscan is used for reading in the measurements along and Monaco Profiler is the software that is used to create the profiles. We have tested Gretag Profilemaker and X-Rite(Monaco) Profiler and find that we get better results with the X-Rite(Monaco) Profiler. If you wish to have your profiles created with Gretag Profilemaker we have the ability to utilize that software as well. There is not an extra fee, but you must state on your order form that you wish to have us utilize that software and we will email you a different set of targets. Users should make RGB profiles if you are submitting RGB files to your printer, i.e. printing through the Canon, Epson, & HP print drivers.
